Our trip to Texas for our son’s graduation.

This May we traveled to Houston, TX where our extended family lives, for the graduation commencements of our two sons Nathan and Daniel. They have been homeschooled all their lives, first on the Mission Field in Mexico and now they finished their journey and are ready for the next chapter in their lives. We were blessed to hear Senator Dan Patrick give the seniors the senior charge and encourage them for the future. Their Class of 2010 had 20 graduates from homeschooled families. Home School Communication Network put together a wonderful graduation ceremony and worked for months before to make it special. We also got to see many of our family and friends whom we had not seen in years.

Nathan and Daniel have plans to go to Alert International Academy in Big Sandy, TX this September, we will surely miss them while we continue on Deputation without them. They will also be doing some college as they are able to work and study.

God took care of us on our travel and gave us good health. Praise the Lord! God provided housing and meals through the new churches and pastors we met. We really appreciate everything God’s people do for us. Our return trip was good and we are excited about the opportunity to bring back to North Carolina with us Bertha’s mother, Olivia Garcia. She will be 76 years old June 24, all the children enjoy having grandmother around and it will be a good opportunity to practice or learn their Spanish since she does not speak English. She plans to stay with us through the summer months and join us for some church appointments and conferences. She especially enjoys going with us to the Spanish church here in Robbinsville, NC.
